Qigong - (pronounced chee - gong) is a mind-body exercise form that uses meditation, breathing, and movement to increase energy and enable the body to heal itself. The exercise and healing techniques used were developed in ancient China and Tibet. Similar to Tai Chi but a much easier form to learn for beginners, it has been found to be beneficial in boosting immune systems, lowering blood pressure, increasing bone density, preventing trips and falls by improving core tone and improving sleep - to name just a few of its benefits! For anyone who finds standing for an hour challenging, you can opt to do the session chair based and still feel the benefits from the session.
