The Settlement is delighted to welcome Christine Tassan and the Imposteurs. Christine and her band have been making their mark around the world for over 20 years! Twenty years of spreading Gypsy jazz and swing songs, both on prestigious stages and in small villages far from major urban centres.

It was by reminiscing about this incredibly rich and adventure-filled journey that the musicians came up with the idea of creating "On the Road." This concept show will take the audience with them, on the road during their tours, through magnificent landscapes with delightful anecdotes. Get ready for the ascent of the Great Wall of China, a bike ride in Stanley Park in Vancouver and crossing the Rockies in a snowstorm.

Loshn are a Klezmer trio whose intimate arrangements speak, sing and dance with the tradition’s distinct Yiddish accent. With a repertoire that spans several decades, Loshn take their audiences on a journey from the origins of the music in Eastern Europe through to America in the 50s and beyond.

Bringing together three of the UK’s leading Klezmer musicians, Loshn are one of the few Klezmer ensembles in the UK dedicated to Yiddish Historically Informed Performance Practice. Combining beautiful and varied repertoire with their knowledge of the music’s

background and history, they present a programme deeply rooted in the Klezmer tradition.
