I was born in Liverpool. I left school without any qualifications and went into hairdressing obtaining my City and Guilds. I went on to owning my own salon.
My Story
In 1978 I and my family moved to Shropshire. We had a very small smallholding and kept hens, sheep, goats, pigs and horses.
In the 80’s I took a typing course. In the 90’s I sat and passed GCSE in Maths, English and Psychology.
2001 I started working for our Council doing administration. I then went to night school to study RHS horticultural course after my interest in gardening had started to grow.
In 2013 I retired from work and moved to Maryport. I started going to the Settlement’s craft class which were held in the barn.
I became a Trustee in 2021 and am responsible for Room Hire.
