Business Development Manager
Castle Hill Trust owns and runs the ‘community centre’, known locally as Maryport Settlement. Maryport Educational Settlement was started in 1937, to bring education to the local community. But we have decided that, to meet the challenges provided by, for example, the Internet, we need to go in a radical new direction.
We are looking for a person to guide us through transitioning to a Creatives Hub. (https://creativeconomy.britishcouncil.org/projects/hubs/)
Our ideal candidate would have:
-
Demonstrable experience of
-
working in the creative arts sector.
-
project planning.
-
an ability to deliver projects.
2. Good interpersonal skills in order to develop strong relationships with local creatives as well as trustees of Castle Hill Trust.
3. Experience in the use of all forms of social media to contact as many local creatives as possible as well as to promote the project.
4. Experience in preparing funding bids to implement the plan.
5. Live locally (preferably)
The postholder can work remotely or on site. If remotely, an agreed amount of time, say 2 days, would initially be spent on site, in order to develop a good understanding of local art environment and the potential of the building.
The post is for a limited duration and the number of hours per week would be flexible. Our funding covers approximately 500hrs/80dys @ £19 per hour.
If you think you can help us deliver our vision, please get in touch.
You Can download the job description here. Applications, including your cv should reach us by 25th March 2024
